OK so I went to the salon a few days ago and had my dark brown dyed light brown. I was thinking that the color Shouldn't fade, because I lightened it, however I'm not sure.

Does anyone have any helpful answers for me?

Your color won't fade but over a short period your roots will grow out and you will be faced with the decision to have your hair lightened again. The more you keep lightening your hair, the color at the roots will lighten and stay lightened.

So it won't fade back to black? Because the girls in the salon were really UNHELPFUL and rude, basically being lazy about what I wanted to do, although I had called before hand and secheduled an appt.

They tried telling me it was impossible, and would cost $600 dollars. And take 5 hours. And all this nonsense.

And I was pretty sure that::

Going DARKER will fade, because you're putting color IN.

But that::

Going LIGHTER won't fade, because you're taking color OUT.

But then I thot, well. Aren't you just adding more yellow dots to out number the blue and red ones?? Frick I don't know. I paid about zero attention is cosmetology school...
