    Motor coupler whirlpool washer
I've got a Whirlpool washer that I replaced the motor coupler on about a month ago. Yesterday it started acting up again. First it would spin but not agitate and then the agitate failed also. I opened it up and on of the plastic coupler pieces fell out in two pieces. The piece is the updated version with the metal ring. The metal ring was broken along with the plastic. Any idea why this beefy piece would fail? Any possibility that I mounted it wrong? Does the motor or transmission have a problem that would put too much stress on the coupler? Or is just a faulty part? Help!

If it was installed properly, I would say the transmission locked up causing the failure

Ok, so my Whirlpool dryer started to squeak a few days back. I tore the thing apart this evening. I WD40ed the rollers in the back. Didn't help. So I unhooked the belt that connects the drum to the motor to see if the motor was making the sound. I turned the thing on - still squeaking. I have...
