    E3 Visa holder
    Hi,

I am on an E3 Australian treaty holder visa. Do I get any exemption from paying social security and medicare taxes. I am employed by a US employer. Does the totalization treaty come into effect for this?

No, you will pay social security and medicare taxes. However, under the totalization agreement with Australia, your tax payments will be credited to the equivalent program in Australia
