Installing Kenmore dryer heating element
I just bought a new heating element (3387747) for my Kenmore 90 series dryer (Model 110.62902100), but when I went to reinstall it, I realized that I forgot to write down which wire was on toip and which was on bottom. Both are red and one has a white stripe.
Does it matter? |

Thanks, I hooked it up the way I thought they came off and it worked. Nice to see it doesn't matter as a back up. I have all the diagrams that came with the dryer, same as online, but they don't show how the wires hook up to the pieces.
I found a couple pics of the element installed online, bit there was lint right at the junction of the wires and I couldn't tell which one went which way. Doesn't matter now anyway, it seems to be working just fine. Thanks for your help. |

When I start the dryer the heating element gets hot for about 5 seconds then blows a fuse. The dryer will still cycle, but never get hot again. I replaced the fuses and no luck. When I took the plate off I can see that it is getting hot. There are 5 coils and it appears that the top 3 coils are...
Do I need to take out the drum or take out the inside plate from inside the drum to replace the heating element? Thanks Deb
How do I remove the heating element from the dryer for replacement? I can get to it and there seems to be one or two screws to loosen, but I can't disconnect the electrical connections to the heating element itself.
Does anyone have picture or directions on how to replace the heating element . I am in AZ and the dryer is back home in CA, so I do not have the model , but I can get it if it is needed to answer mymquestion. Thanks in advance :rolleyes:
I have a Kenmore dryer six years old. I just got problem there is no heat. Then I change the heating element. It work find for two cycle each cycle took 60 minutes then it quit working then I did Change again It repeat the same problem so what's wrong? Would you give me some asvise to trouble...
