I'm going to sound like new, but I've become oddly paranoid since last year about becoming pregnant. I use birth control since I was 13 because of my Polycystic ovaries, and Ive been in a serious relationship for 6 months. He wears condoms every time.

We had sex on December 18th 2007. My period came around jan 9th. After my period we didn't have sex and still haven't. However this week I spent 2 days with constant nausea and my right breast is a bit sore. Im starting my last week of because pills so maybe it could be breast tenderness before my period, but anyway, I still want to know if there's a chance of being pregnant.

Yes, on jan 9th I did get my period, not spotting. It was normal-heavy.

And Im thinking that maybe I should stop having sex. I'm 20 years old but I don't think I should keep doing this if at the end Im going to keep feeling paranoid about pregnancy.

Hey hun... sounds like your really worried :(

I doubt you are pregnant... this time... yeah, sure there is a small chance because NO birth control is 100%, but the little info you gave suggests it is highly unlikely... however, and I feel comfortable in saying this, because you brought it up u'rself... The ONLY way to be absolutely, 100% sure that you won't get pregnant before u'r ready is to not have sex.

In our society today, sex is such a casual thing... our culture is completely saturated with sex! It's not possible to get away from it, unless we make a conscious choice to do so... it sounds like you have a good head on u'r shoulders and u're seriously thinking about this issue... Honestly, and it's only my opinion... I think you should give abstinence serious consideration... u can have wonderful, meaningful and loving relationships w/o having sex... adding the worry and pressure every month of wondering "am I?" isn't healthy for you or u'r relationships... especially if u'r getting as worried as this one post indicates... every month!? :(

You are so young! Enjoy u'r life! Find u'r place in this world... find u'rself! Just enjoy u'r youth while you have it!
