    Screeching Maytag Dryer
    Hi...
I wondered if anyone could offer any insight as to why my Maytag Atlantis Dryer
(MODEL #MDE7600AYW) is making this awful high pitched screeching sound every time it is used... it is VERY LOUD! Otherwise, it works just fine.
    Thanks for your help... cindyc1910

Usually this occurs because the drum support rollers have bad bearings. Either the roller is making the noise or the motor and belt have to work harder to spin the drum resulting in a screeching noise. They will need to be replaced.

We have a Maytag Dryer model MDE2600 AYW that has started squeaking ( high pitched ) when we run a load of clothes. DOes anyone know if this is a belt or roller? Is it a hard repair? Thanks
