    Becoming an optometrist
I am currently an undergraduate student at a Canadian university and my goal is to go into optometry after I finish my first degree. I was wondering as an aspiring optometrist what type of part time job should I get, are there any jobs that would be available for me to work in an optometrists office? Just basically wondering what I should be doing to get prepared.

Pre thanks for any helpful answers!

I'd suggest talking to one or more optometrists in your area about part-time opportunities. Here's a listing of jobs in Alberta; note that part time assistant jobs are listed, along with the magic words "will train". Look for the Optometrists' Association site in your province and a similar job listing page on that site.
