    Lerak under faucet
I have a Phylrich faucet that's over 10 years old. My original problem - a drip out of the faucet - appears fixed by replacing the hot water stem with a new one, however I now have a leak under the sink. Haven't been able to identify where the leak is coming from, however it only leaks when either hot or cold water is on (though feels cold to the touch), and a fairly strong drip down the stopper arm (which comes down out of the hole in the faucet). Any ideas? I've tried tightening both water lines, no change. Difficult to access the faucet from underneath, though feels like it is wet above the line connections.

Odd that this leak didn't exist before repairing the hot water cartridge - seems like it must be related to the repair of the hot water cartridge, however it now appears to be at the center faucet piece, although that hasn't been touched. Sink hasn't been used in about a month - is it possible its just a washer that needs replacement, or is dried out?

    Thanks very much, Tom

Tell you what I would do Tom... I would check the replaced cartridge and the nut you tightened the cartridge into the faucet with. Otherwise, sounds like the integral copper pipe may have failed underneath the faucet and maybe you are experiencing a for real coincidence... hard to say. You may need to remove faucet and replace.

Wait until you check with a couple of the other people on this site though... they have some real good experience amongst them and may come up with something else that can help without removing the faucet!
