    Rent Increase Percentages in Georgia
    What is the maximum percentage rate that a property owner of a single dwelling, can charge or increase rent on a tenent in the state of Georgia. The zip code is 30297. The property rent is handled by a Real Estate agent.

    I received my letter of rent increase at 6.25%

    There is not max percentage, that I am aware of in GA, and I have owned rental houses there for years. It is a free market state and rent can be raised to the level the market can handle.

    And 6.25 is not a high raise by any means, raises of 10 or more present is not uncommom at all,

    *** if you are on section 8, government paid rental housing, there may be some rules on increase on them.
