    401K Penalty
    If I withdraw money from my 401K and replace the money within a short period am I still penalized?

    Yes, if you are under 59.5.

    Your company may have a program to allow you to "borrow" money from your 401k. I'm guessing since you are asking your's probably doesn't. Your best source of information will probably be your HR department.
