    What constitutes denial/refusal of visa?
I am holder of H4 visa.Since I wanted to visit US again for the purpose of attending an interview this time , so I decided to appear for visa interview seeking a B1/B2 visitor visa as I did not want to conceal the intention of my visit. But the counselor at the US embassy told me that I can go to the US for attending an interview on H4 visa itself and there was no need to apply for visitor visa. My passport was returned without any endorsement or adverse remark. My query is that keeping this episode in mind, whether it would be treated as a denial/refusal of visa for future or will be just ignored.
Thanking you in anticipation for answering the query

You need to review the denial letter to see what the basis is. It's a form letter and they check off the reason for the visa denial. Usually it is that you cannot overcome the presumption of immigrant intent. You need to prove to the conoff that you truly are a visitor and intend to return home. Prove up ties to your home country with a job letter, owning property, family members, etc. good luck.
