My dog does poopie in her cage
    HI,
I can get my dog house trained.
She is 6 months now and still does #1 and #2 in the house and in her cage. I don't know what to do. She is part Japinese chin and pomaranian. She is just really sly when she does it and I know by her actions that she done it somewhere. I go look and there it is.
Please help me, I am going nuts.:(

You need to make sure she gets plenty of walks and exercise.

Also make sure her crate isn't too big. This is a common problem. Dogs don't usually eliminate where they sleep. If her crate is too big and she can go to one side and potty then go to the other to sleep, in her mind she isn't eliminating where she sleeps. The crate only should be big enough for her to stand up, turn around, and lay down.
If it is too big you could use a divider to make it smaller.

macksmom, brings up a good point. You also have to watch your dog very carefully for her signals. When she starts sniffing around or circling, that means she needs to go potty. Consistency in training is the key. Labman has a sticky at the top of the dog forum geared toward new puppy owners. Housebreaking is included. Please read through his sticky and you might want to take a trip to your local library to see if you can pick up any of the books on his recommended reading list. Here is the link:
