    Impending labor or not
Ok so I'm almost 36 weeks and about a week and a half ago I wiped and had some pink blood tinged discharge on the toilet paper so I didn't know if it was from the muscus plug or intercourse (which happened earlier that day and this was late at night)
I had a little tiny bit more the next morning when I wiped but nothing since.
I have been having several burst of energy at different times of the day. It comes and goes.
Now for the past two days I have been having slight period like cramps and loser then normal bowal movements.
But today when I went to pee I noticed that my bowels had become very lose there's no cramping I jusy have to keep running to the bathroom so I don't use it on myself.
There pretty soft and loose and this has been all day.
Oh and I have been getting a lot of Braxton Hicks for the past week or so but they seem to be getting a little stronger and more frequant.
I see the specialist every Friday and last Friday and Today she said that my water was getting low.
    Could this be impending labor...
Even though this is my third it's so much different.
    Thanks

As you probably already know each pregnancy is different. I've never heard the term where your water was getting low. That's a new one on me. Call your OB if you start having any real problems. The bowel problem is normal at this point of the game. Probably something you ate.

I don't think its something I ate and when I was pregnant with my daughter they had to induce at 38 weeks because my fluid was getting to low.
I know with smaller birth weight babies that s one thing they HAVE to watch out for is the low amnio fluid.

You definitely need to tell your dr about the diarrhea as this is taking all your electrolytes out of your system and they need replaced pronto.

It's not really diarrhea it's just very soft and loose stools.
You see I have stayed constapated this whole pregnancy now it's just very loose.
When it started a couple of days ago I was having period like cramps but it wasent as it is now.
I have read where loose bowels can be caused by the baby descending further into the birth canal and wanted to know if this has happened to anyone.

Yes, I did have that problem near the end of my pregnancy but I was late... real late. I had the opposite problem of you. But I did end up going into eclampsia and darmed near lost the baby and my life due to complications while in delivery. Was just minutes literally from death with extremely high blood pressure or stroke.

You water getting "low" is called oligohydramnios. That doesn't mean that the "water" is dropping in your uterus, it means that there is less amniotic fluid than necessary.

Are you having non-stress tests yet? If not, you need to request this of your doctor. Oligohydramnios can be a very serious situation if not corrected by injection of normal saline to increase the amount of fluid, or delivery.

I see the ob tomorrow but since they noticed it two weeks ago (the specialist) I haven't seen the doctor.
I'm hoping tomorrow they will check me to see if anything is happening.
I haven't been feeling my best.
My stomach is playing tricks on me.
At the specialist every week they check her weight and make sure she's growing.
Last Friday they said she had finally hit the 4 and 1/2 pound mark but was still below average but keeping a steady pace.
They said the fluid was low but still within normal ranges.
I wouldn't be to surprised if they wanted to induce soon since they had to with my last because of the fluid.

As long as the fluid is WNL then all should be okay. I'm still curious why they have not begun non-stress tests and/or contraction tests. Maybe that's something you should ask the specialist tomorrow.

I see the OB tomorrow and I will ask her about it.
I'm starting to wonder if I need to get my bags packed since my gut instinct is telling me something's off.

Go with your gut girl. Better to have them packed and nothing happen than not have them packed and have to run to the hospital.
