    Mitsubishi galant electrical issue
I've got a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant ES ( 2.4 L) - the radio and the power door locks just went out. The locks worked once more and then quit again. The fuses are all OK and I swapped the relays to see if any are bad. Haynes and Chilton don't make a book for this year/model.
The only bright side is the door locks will unlock immediately on their own if you lock them with the driver's door lock. The best I have found is there is probably a short/corrosion somewhere? Does anyone have any ideas here?
    Thanks

The problem may be corrosion at a common ground. You've checked all the fuses and relays.
Likely ground point locations would be the driver's or passenger's kickpanel area.
Unfortunately, Mitsu isn't as forthcoming with quality schematics as some other manufacturers are. I wish I could be of more help.
You may benefit from an experienced electrical shop.

Thanks Rich, another possible answer I've gotten is maybe one of the modules - but finding them and then the right one could be fun -
The negative bat cable was corroded when I changed the battery a few months ago so I'm sure there is more corrosion.

Update - latest thing I'll test in the am is the etacs ecu - I finally found a manual and some more feedback - looks like that might be the culprit... the key fobs don't work either

OK - boy do I feel silly... I found one more component that didn't work - the dome light.
I checked it's fuse - that was the culprit - stupid 10A fuse for the dome light - also controls the keyless entry, door locks and the radio... go figure.
Thank goodness - that's a lot cheaper than the ecu.
