    Second Hard Drive Error
Hey, I am pretty good with computers, having built my own and all and I had an old hard drive that I wasn't using for a while, 80G, and I hooked it up figuring I can store my useless files in it. The problem is, my BIOS detects it and so does my hardware, but I cannot access it under my computer. I am not sure as to why, does it have something to do with the fact that my main drive is SATA and this one is IDE?
    Thanks
    Jimmy

Have you made sure the drive is set to Slave? And if so and same issue, change the 2nd drive to CS(cable Select), same thing happened with me - As slave, I could not access it, but on cable select it was accessible

You may have to initialize the disk so windows will recognize it. Doing this is easy, but will erase everything on the drive that you want to add.

Right click on my computer... click on manage.
Click on disk management then look for your 80 gb disk there. It should be listed there like disk 2 or disk 3 but it has no drive letter.
Right click on it and click initialize.
After this is done you should be able to see it under My Computer.

    Hope this helps!
