Honda civic swap to b18b won't start without starting fluid and sometimes stop running
I have a 92 honda civic dx that was swapped to a 94 b18b. The car ran fine for about 2 years and then started having startup problem. It doesn't matter when the engine is hot or cold, most of the time I have to use a starting fluid to get it start. Some time while driving, the car would just stop and it won't start without the starting fluid. I've changed new battery, spark plugs, wires, and rotor cap. It will only work for a month or so, before the same thing happened again. The car always start up when I used the starting fluid, but one time it took a dozen tries to get it start. I'm not sure if it's a fuel or electrical problem because I do hear the fuel pump sound like it's working too. Any suggestion or answer would be greatly appreciate.

Test/replace the ICM and coil. Most AutoZone stores can do this for free. Here's how to do it:
