    Bad smell
Our bathroom tub gets clogging up and I have to shop vac it every day. So yesterday I put draino down the drain. Well, bad idea because the smell pushed us out of the house for the night. We opened all the windows and the smell seems better today. What can I do about the smell and drain.

What can I do about the smell and drain.
First snake the tub drain from the chrome overflow plate to clear awaythe rotting hair and grease. Now,before you go to bed, pour a 1/4 gallon of bleach down the drain and let it set overnight. Next morning flush it away with a few pans of boiling water. Smell better now? Regards, Tom

I am interested on how you were using your shop vac, were you just pulling up the backed up water or were you trying to suck out the clog, that's not going to happen. Tom's bleach works very well but I like to have fun too. Mix 1/2 cup of table salt with 1/2cup of baking soda and pour into the drain. Pour in a cup of vinegar, enjoy the show and wait for morning. In the AM dump a big bucket of really hot water down the drain. Both methods should clear your issue.
