    State Lobbyist Inflence
Hello, please supply me with a factual and clear answer.

I read an account from NBC/NJ Aswini Anburajan and NBC's Mark Hudspeth date Jan 2. It said that Sen. Obama justified taking money from state based lobbyists and working with them. "...because I have no power in this state, so I'm not influenced in any way by somebody who's lobbying at the state level...".

Is this true, that state lobbyist cannot influence an out of state senator with money contribution(s) to his campaign fund.

    Thank you in anticipation.

That of course is spin. Generally if a lobbyist is giving a candidate contributions there is some sort of quid pro quo ;even if it is continuing to champion policies the candidate supports.

BTW ; I find nothing wrong with lobbyists giving said contributions so long as the transaction is transparent.
