Donate a Tattered Wall Framed Quilt
I live in W.L.A./So. Cal. I would like to donate a somewhat tattered wall framed quilt to a church/organization/museum/recyclable location. Any suggestions?
    Thanks S.

Is this some sort of valuable quilt? If not and if its not in good condition you should just throw it out if you don't want it anymore. Most charity organizations don't want older fraying blankets/garments.

SusyB did mention that it was framed. So, that would indicate that it is an object d'art of some kind that people could hang on a wall.

Around where I live, we have an organization called Goodwill where you can donate items and also receive a tax deduction for the donation. Also, have you tried contacting any churches to see if they would be interested in it? Maybe the is a men's or women's shelter that also might be interested? Is there a certain subject or theme to the quilt?

Actually the quilt is not mine, however, I shall clarify as to its possible theme. That is a good idea to know the theme of the quilt. Often when items are donated, they just sit in storage with an organization. I know one of the owners just wants to make sure it is not tossed out. I can check w/Goodwill to see if it is something they feel they could sell.
I thank you for your idea.
