    Old credit card sueing me?
    Hello,

I recently served from an old credit card company, suing me. I had not heard from the company in over 4years. I had tried to resolve this debt years ago with no luck. Any advice. It is not the original company who I had applied with. How can I go about finding CA laws for lost debts? Is there a staute of limitations for collecting?

    Thank you.

There are several threads that deal with this in the Credit and Bankruptcy and Debt forums. I suggest you browse through some of those threads to learn what to do. If you have any specific questions after that, please feel free to add a follow-up here.

First there is no such thing as a "lost debt" they may have stopped trying to collect and then latter sold this debt to another collector for perhaps 10 cents on the dollar or less. But you now owe them.

So you need to show up in court,
