    Terminating my Kansas rental lease
Hello, I signed a new lease with my apartment complex about 2 months ago that begins jan. 8, 08. I signed that early because they were offering 300.00 off my 1st months rent. Since then I have regained custody of my son and need to move into a 2 bedroom. I have transferred apartments before and they just transferred my deposit. I talked to 3 different people in the office and got 3 different answers. 1 of them told me I could transfer the deposit. 1 told me I would have to pay a new deposit and would get my old deposit back by mail in 30 days. 1 told me I would have to pay a new deposit and would not get my old deposit back until I moved completely out of the apartments all together. Well there was only 1 two bedroom available at the time of all this confusion and they just rented it too someone else. Now I have to wait until another comes available in 2 months and still not really sure if I have to put down a new deposit or not. I have lived here for 4 years and am going on 5 now. There are all new people in the office since summer and they are really not very helpful. Could you give me any advise on this? I don't care for these new people at all and it would cost me less to move into another apartment complex! Because they also want a 300.00 transfer fee

Trying to break your lease would cost even more. Unless they will allow you out or let you sublet, it looks like you are stuck.
