    Furnace blower/ gas valve issue
    Hello everyone!

This morning before I hopped in the shower, I bumped the temp in the house up from 62 to 67. Well the furnace went through it's normal procedures and I noticed the blower turned off very quickly and I can hear the igniter trying to light the burners again.

Well, not thinking about the igniter/ gas valve at this point, I'm just thinking it's the limit switch. So I open the furnace and watch the limit switch, it's bouncing off the low setting (which is about 90), so I bring it down to 80. The house warmed nicely after that, and the blower continued to run.

Now here is where I'm scratching my head. Why was the gas valve shutting down? I know for a fact it WAS NOT hitting the high limit? I was visually watching the blower and burners go off on low limit (90) and try to refire. Fire for a moment, then not warm up the exchanger enough, and all cyle off and go through the sequence again. After I brought the low down to 80, all seems well.

What the heck is going on?? Thanks in advance!

If you have a flame sensor clean or replace. Report back.

Model and manufacturer would be helpful.
