the toilets won't refill with water but sinks work
I have well which feeds my house. The sinks, washers, and the showers all have running water, however the toilets won't refill. I checked the shut off value. They are on. I removed the top and everything else is working. There is just no water refilling the tanks. What is strange is that this has occurred in all 3 bathrooms in the house. I am currntly running hot and cold water in all other lines successfully. An:confused: y ideas?

Check for a air lock in the pipes that feed the toilets...
Do u have an expansion tank... perhaps you need to install one , this hold about 30gallons, to act as a back up ,to feed the house hold water supply ,
One other thing , you may have to ,bled the system, to release air .
To do this open up you tank, let some water out , there mite be a hissing noise comeing from the tank , my other train of thought is you over useign the water and it can't keep up
Hence the extra tank ,needed remodeler 25 years, including well driller

It seems strange that crud would have gotten into all 3 toilets and not in anything else. Tom gave a great explanation on cleaning fill valves yesterday at https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/plumbi...et-168255.html

I don't see that you have much choice but to shut the water off to one of the toilets and open up the ballcock. Now cover the top and turn the water back on to flush out the supply and ballcock. Did you get a full stream? Let me know. Tom

Slow drain both toilets, sinks, everything [ 2 Answers ]

I am fearing that in an effort to save time, I plugged up the mainline. I flushed some clumping kitty litter. It plugged the toilet. I plunged it like a hundred times. It freed. Fine for a couple days. Then, toilets fill up, don't go down right away. In the upstairs bathroom, if you...
