    I am suddenly Shy.
    I used to be very confident when I was younger...
    I was doing basketball and tons of other sports,
    I wouldn't have trouble talking to the opposite sex and I would not feel down on myself all the time, thinking about how I could be better etc...

    It all started in 6th grade when I started playing an MMORPG (Yes I know this sounds very gay and nerdy) I played the game for about a year and a half and now It seems I have regressed TREMENDOUSLY... I stopped playing almost all the sports I was into I didn't go out as much and I did not hang out with my grade school friends...
    I haven't played the game for 2 months and yet I still am miserable and very shy...
    (I can rarely think of what to say to the opposite sex and I always worry about what OTHER people think about me and not what I think about myself...

    So I just have a simple question...

    How do I repair myself and go back to the way I was...

    Simple. Go out with your friends. Slowly gain that confidence back. If you want, start playing those sports again. Rest will come naturally. Slowly, but naturally.

    And sadly most of my friends who I hang out with (outside of school)
    are my former classmates who were my friends at my old school not at different highschools...
    and all of them are male... :(

    You just got to build up your confidence. Do you think that you have gained low self-esteem? Did you gain weight? Maybe have acne? Do you like your physical appearance? These things may relate.

    Im weird...
    Im very fit looking, no acne, and I feel like I look hot =P...
    And yet I am shy and unconfident... And I think I have "gained" low self-esteem...

    Let me get this straight... you are in 8th grade now?

    What happened when puberty hit? Is that what caused you to become all unsettled with yourself?

    Ya got to talk to someone about all the teeming sexual urges and thoughts you have. Just a note of fact, they will seem tame to an adult. :D I remember talking to another social worker one time, and she said that she went to a psychiatrist because she suddenly got turned on by all living things... the psychiatrist told her not to worry about it.

    I get it. Now you have changed and need to claw your way back to what seems normal. On the bright side, you're young enough that adapting will be easier. You are going to have to work at it. Try using positive self-talk. I'm not playing that game, I hung out with so & so, I talked with that guy and I'm a good person on his way back, one step at a time.
