    Medical bills and student loans
    Hi everyone,
I just wanted to ask if any one has a suggestion. I have only had one credit card my whole life but, it is charged off. I got it when I was 19 ( I'm 25 now), and the charge off was for $398 and some change. I also have a student loan that is in default that I am paying on but I am usually late. The total loan is for about $2200 I have a bad power bill and a couple of other small bad things on my credit, like a phone bill gone to collections that has now been paid and an overdue cable bill from 5 months ago. I also have a couple a bill from when I had my oldest daughter for $625.00 and one to my dr office from the same event.
All of these are small seperatly but they add up. I have been trying to figure out a way to pay everything off and still be able to pay rent, power, etc.
I do very much unnecessary spending. We very rarely eat out ( like once every other month). We don't buy excess stuff at the grocery store. We just barely make enough to pay everything. We just spend so much in bills such as power, water, food, daycare,(we don't have a phone, so no phone bill), we don't have cable anymore either so no cable bill.

How is it possible for me to clear my credit if I can just afford my fruggle life? I am stuck in a situation where I can't seem to keep my head up above water. I don't have a lot of debt, but what I do have, I can't pay.
My husband and I are working very hard, and we want to buy a house. No one will give me a loan and my husband doesn't have any credit at all.

What are the first things I need to do in order to get my finances in order??

Have you considered getting a higher paying job? If worst comes to worst, consider speaking to a financial counselor.

Yeah, I think about that a lot. I mean, I like my job now and I make okay, but sure I love a job that pays better. But since I didn't finish college, it is going to be hard to find a job that pays better. I just wish that there was something I could do about the $860 I pay a month in daycare. I will be so glad when they are both potty trained and in school. No more diapers or formula. That stuff is expensive and I don't qualify for WIC or food stamps.

860 for daycare IS crazy. Are there any other cheaper (but still good) daycares? I know that some daycares offer payments due to income.

Yeah I know. My oldest daughter, who is two years old is potty training and, she is doing pretty well. The cost will go down a little when she is not wearing diapers anymore. My husband is trying to get on with the local electricians union because they would pay all of our health insurance. I dish out $208 a month in family and I would love to not have to pay that.
I have looked for other daycares but, they all pretty much are the same, and the ones that are cheaper all have like year long waiting lists. Plus, we really like the one they are in.
