    Parapalegic Hip Weight
Can anyone suggest a way to help me help my friend who is a parapalegic to lose weight in her hips..? She has me to help her the movement of her legs, but we need some idea of what to do to target that area... and will the muscles still function the same way?

There is no such thing as weight loss targeted at specific areas. Performing exercises by using any of the muscles that are still functional will cause weight loss all over the body.

Having person A move the muscle of person B without the actual effort of person B will not help person B to lose weight (though it might help person A to!) This is analogous to using a truck to tow a car - despite the cars' wheels moving while being towed, the car is not burning any gasoline.

    Hope this helps.
