    Tub within a shower
I want to replace a tub with a clawfoot tub. Want I want to do is create a "tub within a shower. " Build a tile shower stall(with correct waterproofing on the wall and waterproof shower pan) and place a clawfoot tub inside so I don't have to worry about a shower curtin staying inside the tub. My question is: I know how to connect the shower drain using the proper membrane sealing flange drain but the tub will require a drain as well. How do I seal that drain pipe through the membrane. Is it even possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're really serious you could wye off the drain line with two traps. Position the two trapsand raiser's at either end of the tile shower. Using flange type drains,(see image), one regular to pick up the shower and the other converted to a tub raiser instead of a shower strainer to pick up the tub.
Note: this is one hellava expensive way to subitute for a shower curtian.
    Regards, tom
