Our one toilet started leaking and so I flushed the water down and emptied the reservoir. I then purchased a new wax seal and then took the toilet off the bolts and turned it on its side and after cleaning the bottom, I put in the new wax seal gasket. I also removed all the old wax from the old seal and cleaned the area completely. I then set the toilet back on the new bolts and seal making sure it was all lined up correctly. The water line was lined up and re-attached. It flushed but slowly but I discovered a new leak and ended up replacing the gasket seal between the reservoir and the comode. When completed there were no more leaks. However, despite no solid waste or toilet paper, the toilet flushes VERY S-L-O-W-L-Y now. Plunging it several times has no effect.
What other problem can I address? Is there an air pocket the waste line that is causing this from having remolved the toilet from the floor and/or by turning the toilet on its side to put on a new gasket, was some air pocket formed somewhere causing the slow flushing? All the openings and pipes were wiped clear. I also checked the small hole that jets the water into the drain hole and it was clean and clear.
Any ideas, suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Make sure the flapper opens all the way.

You could have a critter in the vent pipe that goes to the roof.

Something could have fallen in the toilet. I might try a closet snake rather than a plunger.

In my capacity as shop trouble shooter I began to run into a slew of complaints on our new construction that were just like yours. I knew they all couldn't be " bad toilets" so I went looking for the cause. I found that when installing the new bowl that the wax ring had been forced out into the discharge pipe and blocking the free flow of water. When the water hit it a backpressure was set up preventing the siphon that makes a good flush and the solids just swirled around while the water went slowly down. I had to set up meeting with our plumbers and show them the problem and how to fix it. When you set the bowl, put the wax seal down on the flat side to the closet flange. Then take your hands and bevel the wax seal outward so that when you set a bowl on it the wax is forced out instead of in blocking the flush. The customer complaints stopped and I had less work to do. Try molding the wax seal so it doesn't choke down on the flush. Good luck, Tom
