    Tranfer of probation
    How come they consider theft of a cell phone a felony,, Also how long does it take for a transfer of your probation??

    Felony because of either the value of the phone, or by specific laws written in your state ( state where the crime happened)

    first remember they can deny the transfer, so it is not how long but will they and if they do how long.

    Do you have a job where you are moving to, do you have a place to live and so on. It can be a matter of a few weeks, to a matter of several months.

    I don't know. Did you use a gun? Did you TAKE it from somebody?? Those could be reasons.

    I also don't know how long it takes for your probation to be transferred. Did you do it right?? If you're just depending on the bureaucrats to do their job, you've got a LONG wait.
