Toilet or stop valve is leaking
    Hello

Toilet in basement. Sounds like water is running but can not see anything. The stop valve that turns water off is closed but water is still coming in when I flush the toilet.

We have been having a problem with the toilet. When stop valve was turned off no water flowed in. When it was turned on water seemed to be leaking in all the time. The water would start running and then stop.

    Thanks

What type of ballcock do you have? Float ball on a rod or a can that rides up and down on the ballcock body? The angle stop either needs a new washer or should be replaced. Good luck, Tom
