    Trouble Connecting Camcorder To Computer
I have a JVC camcorder (Model No. gr-d395u). It came with a USB cord, as well as software to connect it to my PC. But, even though I successfully installed the software, I don't know how to transfer videos from the camera to the computer. The instruction booklet explains how to transfer still images, but I have an ordinary digital camera for that. I want to upload actual moving videos. Can anyone help me?

Is one of the hard drive cameras? If so, when you connect the camera, its like using a USB thumb drive. The camera will appear as a drive letter and you can just copy and paste the video files to your hard drive.

Thanks, but I tried that. All that I got when I read the file was I tiny piece of code that opened in the Notepad program automatically

That indicates that you mistakenly associated the file type with Notepad.
