    No heat
I have a heat pump on roof, honeywell thermostat and the heat does not work all the time. How do I find a wiring diagram so I can troubleshoot it. The green light on therm. Comes on but cool air only. Unit is only 1 yr old and ac worked fine.

The wiring diagram is usually on a door that covers/bolts on to the unit. Usually the door that leeds to the area that contains the operating electrical components.

Another question please. When I set the therm. For the heat to come on sometimes the green light, I guess for the heat does not come on unless I move the therm to a higher position. The fan comes on and cool air comes out every now and then warm air comes out but not constant. Tried to put on emergency heat. Red light comes on but still just bearly warm air. Does this work like a dryer element? Where only part of the heat coil is working or what. How do I access the actual heat coil to run a continuity test or is that useless? I can fix a lot of things but pretty dumb at ac and heat.
