    Wiring ceiling fan remote
I am trying to connect a wireless remote to the ceiling light that is prewired with a wall switch for the fan and another switch for the light.

The remote receiver is wired to the fan wires, blue to blue, white to white, red to red, green to green. On the other end of the remote receiver is only two wires black and white, but the ceiling has one red, one black and one white.

Should the white go to white, and the black connected to the red and the black??

No, you should connect the remote black to ceiling black OR red.. . One or the other. Cap off the unused wire.
