    For Deposit Only
    If, along with proper endorsement, a check is marked "For Deposit Only", can the check be cashed, or does it have to be deposited into some type of suitable account?

    Additionally, if the check is marked "For Deposit Only To [account] #####", can it be deposited in any other account than the one specified?

    Hi,
    If it's marked "For Deposit Only", it can only be put into your checking account.
    If it's marked with an additional checking account number, it can only be put into that checking account.

    Checks with that marking is suppose to be only depoisted into a bank account if marked for deposit only

    If marked with a specific account number into that account specificly

    But a reminder a lot of the checks sent into a bank are sent though automatic machines and often the info on the back is not read, as is any notes on the bottom of the checks either.
