    AZ registration on vehicles
    I live in Az. And about 3 years ago a friend and I financed a car. She was helping me out by being my cosigner. We now are no longer in contact with each other. The registration on the car has expired and I need to get it reregistered. But the DMV won't let me reregister the car without her being on my insurance. I am told the only way I can get her name off the title is to refinance the car. But I only owe $7000 on the car, so no one will refinance the car. And I don't have $7000. So my question is, how do I get the car registered, if I don't know where she is. And I can't get her name off the title? The title has her name then my name, and says OR.

    If it says OR, then you should be able to sign the title over to yourself. If it says AND you can't. However, if the lender still has a lien on the title, that may be preventing you signing it over. You should be able to just reregister the car without chaning any of the info.
