She's blowing hot and cold
I met a lovely girl around 2 months ago and we met around 8 times. In this period we even managed to meet each other's families. Everything seemed right. And then I got back from some work in Spain and everything started going wrong.
It doesn't matter what I do. Now if I get close, she pulls away. If I say affectionate things she pulls away. If I don't call her for 5 days, she pretends not to even notice I dissappeared. Everything I do is met with silence.
Yet 2 weeks ago, when I was in Spain, she was practically begging me to come back.
I'm too old (33) for mind games. I just want the truth or that other horrible word "closure" about what caused her to change her mind. Then I can try and walk away and move on. Right now, I am very unhappy. How can I get her to communicate?
I think she's come to some conclusion but doesn't have the courage to tell me. Should I end this? I really like the girl, but it seems like a pyschologically damaging relationship and myself esteem has already been bruised quite badly. And it wasn't fragile to begin with.
:)
Simpler.

Maybe she's not used to a romantic working[functional] person before. Has she ever told you about her old love life? Any of the guys losers? Thats probably why, she doesnt want to get hurt again, and it gets worse with each relationship too. You have to break her of that ' Its never going to work ' habit.
Hope this helps

Your bang on about the mind games my man.
It sucks, but at some point your going to have to ask yourself if this is worth it. Trying to decipher her actions will drive you mad, all you know is that her behaviour has changed. I would ask her why this is coming about, if she cannot come clean with whatever it is that is causing this than you got to let her go. Having her and wracking your brain out, always waiting for the boom, or being alone and looking elsewhere are your options. You got to figure that one out on your own.
I got a similar situation going on as well, PM if you want to go deeper into this:)

I have a hunch... that it may be another guy at the beginning, when she was pulling away. Then after a few weeks, she realizes that it didn't work out, so now she's coming after you.
Won't know until you talk to her.

You guys are brilliant. I gave her a serious talking to and she appreciated being stood up to as no man had ever done that before. Things are much much better and the mood swings (for now) have stopped. Thanks for the advice guys, its really appreciated.
