Coleman DGAA090BDTA - no heat and its 56 inside
    New to the forum here.

I have a Coleman DGAA090BDTA running with propane. We recently had an ice storm and my power was out for five days. When power returned this afternoon, my furnace would not work. I had turned the unit off at the thermostat, but did not think to trip the main circuit breaker nor turn off the propane line when the power initially went out.

I've opened up the panels and tried the instructions inside about turning the gas control switch to off for 5 minutes then back on. I smell no propane. I've also tried turning the gas valve shut and open. I do have propane to the house as I can run the stove and oven.

If I turn off the main switch near the bottom of the upper panel then turn it on, the blower comes on for 5 - 10 minutes even with the panel off, then shuts down. The LED blinks 4 times, which is "open limit switch".

Can this be reset? What should the proper sequence of circuit breakers/switches be?

    Thanks!

    Shivering in OK. :(

The limit switch might have a little button on top that you can push down to reset. Turn off all electric power to the unit while searching and resetting.

Here is the description of the part and it is a manual reset. So it will have the button in the center.

    025-35358-000 Limit Switch part number

Upper limit switch shuts down gas valve if overheating occurs. 150F. Size 36T. Manual reset

If you need one go here to order. Left side of page half way down. The part number you need is stated above.

    Hvac and eluv,

    :D :D :) WE HAVE HEAT!

At first I was mistaking the part for 025-35381-000 (website part 7700-3591) which does not have a reset button. I then noticed that it said lower limit switch, implying an upper limit switch which I did not see. I looked at the schematic, found the symbol and traced the blue & gray wires. It had a red reset button, popped it in and voilą!

Thanks for your help from myself and whole family!

PS: Anyone searching this thread later--- note that there are separate breakers at the panel-- the dual 40 amp breaker for the A/C and a separate 15 amp for the heater/control panel. I, at first, did not realize this until I still had the blinking light after I threw the A/C breaker.
