    Writ of execution verses Bankruptcy
    On July in NJ a judgement was awarded but is in default. A Writ of execution is in the process with the Sheriffs department. Can the people we won a judgement against try to now claim bankruptcy

    They could but I doubt that it would affect their liability to you. Usually, civil judgements are not dischargeable in bankruptcy proceedings.
