Ceiling fan w/remote only goes to one sleed
We bought a harbor breeze ceiling fan that has a remote but no matter which speed we select it is always on fast. We have a VERY high ceiling so we would prefer not to get into the fan but I guess we will do what necessary. Thanks!

Sounds like a problem with the receiver, possibly a bad capacitor, but you will probably have to change out the entire receiver. Does the fan have pullchains?

I have a ceiling fan with a remote that was working fine, then the fan would not work with the remote, but would work with the chains. Now the light will not work with the remote and they will not work with the chain. What's the problem?
