    I sand the surfaces with 60grit just to open the pores of the pvc so the cleaner/softner will work better. Then apply the cleaner/softner, after that I glue, twist 1 quarter turn and hold in place for 60seconds, I wait until its complety cured before appling any pressure. Careful not to permit any glue or cleaner to drip on any threads or any surfaces that you don't want it. Glue will dry there and be a problem latter.
