Tank and bowl level both low
My son put a bunch of Kandoo wipes in the toilet a week ago. Everything was fine until yesterday, when I flushed and the toilet went just over the top of the bowl onto the floor, then drained slowly almost all the way out. Sometimes there's a little water left in the bowl, sometimes just toilet paper, which I evenutally fished out.

The water in the tank is about 1 inch. There was a little bit of water at the base of the toilet, but I can't tell if it's condensation or a leak.

I tried to clean out the holes in the rim of the bowl (the ones that start the swirling motion), but they look like "phantom" holes as they're actually filled with what looks like porcelain. I stuck a wire hanger in the toilet and fished out more toilet paper, but that's all. I also tried to dump a pitcher of hot water in the bowl from waist level but that just added more water to the bowl. There is no "jet" hole in the bottom of the toilet.

Does it sound like a clog? I am going to try to plunge it but have to get to the store first.

"There is no "jet" hole " what brand of toilet do you have? You need to start with a toilet auger and rod as far as you can to get that junk out of there. If the problem still remains after the auger, pull the toilet and rood with a 1/2" snake as far as you can reach, at least 20 '.

You have a "wash down" toilet instead of a "siphon jet". Before you pull the toilet follow Bals advice. Purchase a closet auger,(see image) and auger the bowl out. This is a tool you will use again. There should be instructions with it but in case there isn't let me give you a few pointers. First pull out the crank and cable all the way and insert the hook under the lip at the bottom of the bowl. Now tilt the auger back to you and start cranking clockwise while pushing the cable down. The cable may be little hard at first, it has to go up and around the trap. When you have all the cable out the end will be a few inches below the floor line. Now pull the cable out and see what's on the auger tip. There should be wipes on the auger tip. Flush to test. Good luck, Tom

This is a problem with all of the toilets in my house. They all have low bowl levels, the other night I heard a siphoning sound coming from the main drain line and the water was sloshing in the bowls. Is it a vent problem, what can I do before calling in the professionals. Thanks, Tom
