    lot of hip pain
hi all... hope I got the right page... I fell 4 yrs ago on my left side... treaded for my gorin... hip also hurt but not bad... so not treaded for my hip... just my gorin... nothing on the x-rays or mri... did theraty 3 mounths and went back to work... hip has been getting real bad for 6 mounths and getting worse every day... xray last week... dr at work says it arthritis... most real bad pain is trying to put on shoes and socks very bad.. I can't pull my leg up cause of the pain... just a little pain walking... sitting or standing... but it does get worse as the day goes on... is it most likely arthritis.. could it be a pulled muscel... hamstring... burtis or something getting worse after 4 yrs... or is it mostly arthritis... thanks a lot for any opinions... richard

Yes you are correct it could be any, several or none of the above. Only your doctor after a very complete medical review will know closer what it is.

Your doctor is probably correct that it is arthritis. Arthritis sets in after a break or a trauma to a joint. I have a similar problem with my knees and take glucosamine daily to keep the joints "oiled". Research glucosamine. Once you start taking it, it might be several weeks or more before you begin to feel improvements and less pain.

Taking yoga (its stretching benefits are especially good) at a Y or senior center will also help your joints become more flexible and limber. Most yoga teachers tell you to do only the easy positions first and let you gradually work into the other positions. Tai chi is another type of mild "exercise" you can do along with yoga or instead of it. Benefits will be similar. Yoga or tai chi have to be done for at least a half hour every day in order to get results.

I take hylaronic acid and I think it works better
Hyaluronic acid is important in maintaining and regulating moisture with the tissues and facilitates the transport of nutrients into the cells and the removal of metabolic waste. Hyaluronic acid is found in all of the body's tissue, with the highest concentrations located in the skin and the fluid between the joints and cartilage. Optimum levels of hyaluronic acid are essential for the health of the joints and cartilage. For joints HA is especially supportive of healthy lubrication and shock absorption. No known side effects. Vets give it to race horses for healthy knees.
