    Never file a taxe return
I never filed taxes before, I need to file from 2005, 2006 and the current 2007, Do I need to file all of them at the same time? Or Do I need to file it separately? Or what I should do?

    Thanks

I would strongly recommend going to a tax offfice like H&R Block so they can help you organize and file in the proper way to avoid any further trouble.

If you are expecting a refund, then the last day to file your 2005 return to get the refund is April 15, 2009. Even you miss that date, you must file if you meet the filing requirement.
Your 2007 return is not due yet. So, I feel that first you should do your 2006 return and send it. You will have idea of if you owe IRS or you will get a refund. If you owe IRS, you will pay the amount you owe with interest and penalty. If you have a refund, you will get the refund without any interest (if sent within 45 days). If on your 2005 and 2006 returns you owe IRS, and you do have some good reason for sending your returns late, do attach a statement with a request that they should waive the penalty.

Actually, you should file in chronological order, because items like depreciation on your truck has to be factored into each successive return.

Other than the depreciation on your rig, the biggest deductions you will have is the Meals and Incidental Expenses (M&IE) per diem afforded to long-haul truckers and the excise taxes you pay for your truck.

I currently have TWO long-haul truckers among my clientele, so I have experience in preparing returns for people like you. If you want my professional help, I can prepare your 2005 and 2006 returns rather quickly if you can send me your tax records (fuel receipts, travel log/calendar, bills of laden, income receipts, etc.). I can provide you with AT LEAST the email addresses of my trucking clients. I would have to ask their permission to give you their phone numbers.

If you are interested, email me at [email protected].
