    Tension in a rope
    A 19:5 kg person climbs up a uniform 80:6 N
ladder. The upper and lower ends of the
ladder rest on frictionless surfaces. The bot-
tom of the ladder is fastened to the wall by
a horizontal rope that can support a maxi-
mum tension of 52:1 N: The angle between
the horizontal and the ladder is 69± :
The acceleration of gravity is 9:8 m=s2 :

    19:5 kg T
    2:7 m 80:6 N
    8:1 m
    69±

Note: Figure is not to scale.
Find the tension in the rope when the per-
son is one-third of the way up the ladder; i.e.
    µ8:1 m
    3
    = 2:7 m¶ : Answer in units of N.

Finally, a counterexample to the conventional belief that the lowest possible IQ score is zero.

(Interesting trivia: The lowest score on record (zero) was held by a bag of hammers since Aug 14, 1957. That record was smashed today.)

Hmmm... I can't make head or tail of what's happening here...

inmanam, don't be rude to people on here. Already we are not really allowed to do people's homework, and here, we are trying. You should be the one getting out of here. I don't see any reason why you are posting here. Or maybe you're the one who asked the question. If so, be aware that you are not allowed to have two accounts for you.
