    Throttle Speed
I replace the carbuerator on a 10 hp Briggs. With the new carbuerator I had to also replace the throttle control, including the governor arm. I am not sure about the governor spring, if I have it connected right. I have the spring connected in such a way that when I push the throttle control to increase speed, the spring will pull the governor rod back causing the butterfly to open in the carbuerator, however, the speed of the engine does not change. What do I need to do? Help,

Are you referring to the small spring at the top of the governor arm? Or the governor spring that goes down low?
