To all who can help. I am 22, married, in nursing school and not on any form of birth control or taking any other meds except for multi vitamin. Other than the usual day to day homework test and quizzes, general life, I'm not really stressed. I know that it is a common thought of people to say missed periods are stress related. I know in fact that mense cycles can be altered by stress, but I don't feel that is the case with my situation. Three weeks ago ( 11/7/07) I started feeling really faint and very fatigued. As the weeks have passed I have since missed my period (due on 21), tender breasts, feel bloaty, back pain, sort of intermitten twinging pain in Lower left pelvic region, increased urination, nausea... etc. I have all of the classic signs and symptoms of pregnancy. However, HPT #1 = negative on 11/23/07. HPT # 2 11/28/07 = negative. Here is my issue... other than having symptoms and negative tests. My family has a history of having low HCG levels during the first 6-7 months of pregnancy. My mom was unaware (if you can believe) that she was pregnant until she was 5 months along. How long should I wait to take another test ? Please help... I would love to find out, that way I can finally give my husband the good news and breath a sigh of relief and finally not have to wonder.

As a nursing student myself I can RELATE!! I also was not able to find out about pregnancy until around 4 months along.

Make sure the vitamin you are taking contains folic acid to start. Now, you are only 7 days late, and in the medical community that is not really considered late even for the most regular woman. You see, Mother Nature tends to throw us a curve ball every once in a while.

If I were you, I would wait at least another week or two and then test again. If the test still comes up negative it may be time for an appointment with your OB/GYN for a blood test and a physical exam.

I wouldn't take another HPT, I'd go to the doctor for a blood test.

I agree with the others... wait a week or two and get a blood pregnancy test.
