    Terminating a Lease
I am currenting in a 12 month lease. My home was hit with a F2 Tornado on Sept. 16th,2007. My roof was damaged my lanai was taken off and windows destroyed. This is now Nov.28th 2007. Nothing has been fixed and now we have found mold in our roof and attic. We also believe that it is in the wall of our master bedroom. Our lease is up in March. Do we have the right to end the lease do to health reasons and what are our legal rights as a tenent? Thank you, very concerned in Florida

You write a letter to the landlord detailing all the repairs and subsequent problems as well as your request to get them fixed. Give the landlord 15 days to get the work done. Advise the landlord that if the premises are not made habitable in that time, you will consider it a breach of the lease and consider the lease terminated allowing you to move.
