    Movie on HBO in late 80's
    I've been trying to find the name of movie for years. It was on a lot in the 80's on HBO. It's about a boy/young teen being chased through the woods by some men. He has to learn how to fend for himself. He has an old-fashioned iron puzzle game that he uses to slide down a rope. Also along his journey he meets an old hermit who gives him skunk tea.

    At the end of the movie, he has to climb a cliff to escape the man chasing him. He makes it to the top, but the mean man is about to fall, so the boy helps him by having him hold on to the other end of the iron puzzle. The man reaches for a knife to finish the job, just as the puzzle breaks, sending the man to his death.
