Hampton bay fan works no lights?
I just installed a Hampton Bay with light kit and no remote. I connected white to white, black to black, blue from fan to red from house. Fan has pull chains for fan and lights. Light is also controlled by wall switch. Light work for 2 minutes but stopped after that. The fan still works. I checked all the wiring appears to have good connection. I also tried to connect black and blue from fan to black from house; still no lights. Is there a fuse or something in the light fixture that could cause the problem?

No. Check all connections. If you have a voltage meter/tester, check to confirm if there is still 120vAC between red and white. What sort of switch is on the lights?

After about 4 months of use, this began to happen. I would try to turn on the fan (either Low Med or High) and the fan would barely turn. Sometimes it would work - this lasted for about 5 days. Since then, if you try to turn on the fan, you get no response. Now, the light will still turn on...

I figured this may help somebody here. I have a Hampton Bay remote controlled ceiling fan... the kind without pull chains... and the remote will only operate the fan portion but not the light. The light is always on. Not a big deal, as the light switch on the wall could be used to turn the light...

I hung a hampton bay ceiling fan (Huntington III), controlled by a simple single light switch, and the fan works well, but the lights do not work at all. I wired white to white, black to black, green and blue to outlet box ground. I am guessing that it's a manufacturer's defect, since it is getting...
