    When a gene is always expressed no matter if it is homozygous (two versions) or heterozygous (two different genes).

    For example imagine you can get black cats and orange cats. The black gene is B the orange b.

    BB cats are black, Bb cats are also black and you can't tell without a genetic test the difference between them. Bb cats are orange.
